Black and Latinx Living Learning Community
The Black and Latinx Living Learning Community (LLC) at Roger Williams University (RWU) is a multi-year residential program designed to enrich your college experience. This community aims to strengthen the connection between academic pursuits and campus life while facilitating your transition from high school to college.

As a member of the LLC, you will join a diverse group of students who share the experiences and identities of being Black or Latinx. This community is recognized for its academic excellence and its significant impact on campus culture. The LLC is dedicated to empowering Black and Latinx students at RWU through community engagement, professional development, social and emotional support, networking opportunities, and connections with local community members.
In this nurturing living-learning environment, you will reside with fellow students from various diasporic backgrounds, including and limited to: African American, Caribbean, Latinx, Hispanic/Hispanic American, Multiracial, and continental African identities. Together, you will enhance your academic, social, cultural, and emotional well-being. The LLC serves as a foundation for peer mentorship and connects you with faculty and staff who are committed to your personal and academic development. Explore your community, gain insight into yourself, and cultivate your leadership skills!

Queer and Trans Living Learning Community
The Queer & Trans Living Learning Community (LLC) supports students who identify within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming communities. This living area is situated in Maple Hall for first-year students and in North Residence Hall for returning students.
In collaboration with the Queer and Trans Resource and Advocacy Center (QTRAC), this community enables queer and trans students to build a strong support network as they transition to life at RWU. It also provides a safe space for students to celebrate their shared identities. Students in both the first-year and returning student areas work together and foster peer mentorship relationships.
